Have A Professional Interior Paint Job You Can Be Proud Of

When professionally painting an entire interior of a house we have a system and protocol we follow to make sure everything is done in the most efficient manner so that everything comes out looking amazing. We understand that painting your homes interior can be intrusive and disruptive so our goal is to make our work as clean and as quick as possible while not skipping any steps and maintaining a professional paint finish for your entire house.

First step: Masking

When we paint your entire house the most efficient and effective method will be to use an airless sprayer to apply as much paint as possible. As a result there will be a lot of masking involved. All floors will be covered in paper, plastic, or drop clothes and all furniture and decorations will be removed from the walls and moved into the center of the room. Ceiling fans and lights either are removed or masked. Closets are emptied. Windows masked. Kitchen cabinets and bathroom and vanities are removed and all electrical face plates are removed. Basically every surface that isn't getting painted is protected to ensure that no overspray damages your belongings.

Step 2: Painting your interior trim

When painting your entire house the first thing we are going to paint is your trim. This includes your baseboards, doors, window seals, door frames, crown moldings, chair rails, fireplaces (if applicable) and stair cases (if applicable). We make sure any flaking or chipping paint is scraped and primed. Any damaged doors or nicked baseboards are repaired. We then apply 2 coats of semi gloss enamel trim paint over all the wood surfaces to make sure it is protected from all wear and tear.

Step 3: Painting your interior ceilings

The following day once your trim has had enough time to fully cure it is time to mask it so we can paint the ceilings. We also repair any cracks or damage to the ceiling and then mask the crown molding, we cover the doors, fire place and the stair case with plastic and we put paper over the window seals, chair rail and baseboards to ensure all the freshly painted trim is protected and then we apply two coat of flat ceiling paint to ensure any imperfections in your ceiling are covered.

Step 4: Painting your interior walls

Now its time to put the airless sprayer away and pull out the brush and roller. Just like the trim and ceilings we repair any drywall damage, fill any holes, repair any cracks and make everything look new. With all the trim already covered we brush the perimeter of the walls with 2 coats and roll them with a 3/4 inch roller cover to ensure full coverage. We take extra time to ensure all the walls are cut straight with the brush and are rolled evenly so your walls paint job looks consistent.

Step 5: Clean Up

Once your home has been painted now it's time to get your house back to the way you had it. All paper is removed, floors are vacuumed, and all face plates are reinstalled. All the furniture is moved back the way it was and all pictures are rehung to where they originally were. We take every precaution to ensure your house is cleaner than when we left it so that nothing distracts from your beautiful new paint job.
