Meet Chris — Owner of The Proud Paintbrush
Hi, I’m Chris Petkau. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, I moved to the U.S. in 2007 and met my incredible wife, Sarah. Inspired by my father’s concrete company and growing up with hands-on construction experience, I founded The Proud Paintbrush to serve homeowners with quality craftsmanship and honest service.
Starting this business wasn’t easy—especially while Sarah and I were navigating infertility and the journey through IVF. It was a season of deep faith, learning to lean on God through trials we had never faced before.
Today, I’m proud to say that we have 1 amazing son Isaac and another boy on the way! And I’m equally proud of how our company has grown—from a one-man painting operation to a multiple-crew team that has painted hundreds of homes across Fort Bend County and Greater Houston.
