Wallpaper Installation

Its important that the wallpaper is done correctly so that there it is properly adhered to the wall and there are no wrinkles. When choosing your home wallpaper installation if you want to make a big statement you can go big with bold patterns and deep colors. The other method is to use light tones with delicate subtle prints to make the space feel bigger and brighter.
After that the next step of wall paper installation is to come up with a game plan depending on the paper. Our Process Installing Wallpaper
First we need to make sure that the drywall is smooth so that the drywall can be applied and the surface underneath doesnt cause it to crinkle. If there is any texture on the wall such as popcorn or orange peel texture we may need to remove the texture or skim the entire wall to create a smooth prepared surface for wallpaper installation.
Wallpaper Removal
Like all things wallpaper eventually becomes outdated. When the time comes to get rid of your wallpaper it is important that the job is done correctly so that the surface is prepped properly for paint or new wallpaper.
Our Process Removing Wall Paper
Step 1: We remove all pictures and other decorations from the wall as well as electrical face plates. We then mask off the floor with paper or drop cloths to protect it from getting any water on them before we take the wallpaper off. We also cover any electrical outlets or switches.
Step 2: For most wall papers there is a outer layer and an adhesive inner layer. First we score and pry up the outer edge so removing the outer layer of wallpaper from the sheet rock comes off. We peel off the wallpaper in large chunks, disposing of it in garbage bag as we go in order for wallpaper removal process to stay clean and tidy.
Step 3: We then use a stripping agent and a steam machine to loosen the wallpaper off of the wall so that it comes off easily. We then use a scraper to remove all the inner adhesive layer from the wall making sure to continue to clean as we go. Stripping wallpaper and painting gets messy so we make sure we take every measure to keep your home clean and tidy as we work.
Step 4: Once all adhesive has been removed the wall is now ready to be prepped for paint. If there is any unfinished parts of the drywall underneath we will finish the surface and then prime the wall so that it is ready for paint.
Taking off wallpaper can be a pain so we recommend leaving it to us, the professionals. Once the old dated wallpaper is removed you will feel amazed at how much more modern your home feels now that it is gone!
