What To Expect For Your Project

We are excited about your upcoming painting project, and we hope you are too! Below we outline the normal flow of projects and provide a few things to keep in mind throughout the project. We also want to make sure you have all our contact information if for any reason you need to get in touch with us.
Prior To Project Start
Over the next few weeks and months, you will have time to really think about your upcoming painting project and will probably have questions or things you would like to tweak. This is completely normal! We find it is best to write down all your questions, thoughts, and notes and we are more than happy to schedule a meeting with you 2 weeks prior to your project’s start to address any changes you would like to make and dial in the design plan before we start ordering materials.
We will reach out to you to give you a heads up on dates. Project start date can fluctuate a bit due to incremental weather or unforeseen circumstances with prior projects, but we will keep you in the loop as we get closer to your start date! Once we begin your project, we won’t leave until the work is completed.
1 Week Prior To Start
We will order materials to be used in the project.
We will reach out to you to give you a heads up on dates. Once we begin your project, we won’t leave until the work is completed.
1 Day Prior To Start
There will be an initial walk-through with you to discuss your project. In the walk-through we cover the scope of the project together and walk the space to discuss specifics. We will reach out to you to let you know when this initial walk-through will be if you would like to join.
Timing and Project Flow
Our crews will be working on your project anywhere from 8:30am – 6pm Monday through Friday. We do work on Saturdays from time to time as long as that’s okay with you. Let us know if Saturday work is not good for your schedule and we will make adjustments.
Prep work here we come! Once all the drop clothes and masking is completed, we will make sure the space is properly prepped for painting, (fixing damage, filling holes, caulking gaps, priming any needed surfaces)
Our crews cleanup at the end of every workday to ensure your space stays
as livable as possible throughout the project.
Either the owner, Chris Petkau, or the project manager will be there to supervise work for all interior jobs and always stop by daily for exterior jobs to ensure things are going smoothly. For large projects we will also be giving you update emails and or calls throughout the project.
Painting is a process and sometimes there are unforeseen issues that present themselves.
Communication is key and if we need to make any modifications to your project, all will be discussed prior to any work being done.
Wrapping Things Up
At the end of the project we will schedule a final walk through with you to make sure everything is exactly as you planned. If during the walkthrough we discover any tweaks that need to be made, we will complete those changes right away. Your happiness with the painting project is our number one priority and once that has been achieved your 2 year warranty begins.
Please remember to have a plan for your pets as we will be in and out of your yard or homes interior throughout the entire project.

in advance.
Painting can be messy when there is sanding or spraying involved, but things always look messier before they look amazing and our crew makes sure to leave your home cleaner than they found it at the end of the project.
Please be patient throughout the project – things aren’t always done in the order or the way you might assume they would be. The project will come together at the end, we promise! But please don’t hesitate to talk with us if you have any questions!

Our 2 Year Warranty
All of our painting services come with a warranty good for 2 years. This warranty covers all manufacturers defects in paint, 100% of our workmanship and even any cracking, peeling, fading or chipping.
We will happily fix any damage, whether caused by us or not. With our process, before we even paint your house we take care of any old paint damage or wood issues that need repairing, existing problems with your house won’t affect the workmanship we give you. The Proud Paintbrush can’t cover any mistakes from previous painters, but can make sure that your house is prepped and painted professionally
